Coordinate handling
The projection is the same Krüger sixth-order engine used by the BTPL Coordinate Converter. No datum shift is applied — the ellipsoid you choose is assumed to be the one your coordinates already refer to.

Write out
What is read. Delimited text (comma, tab, semicolon or spaces) and Excel .xlsx/.xlsm; Leica GSI-8 and GSI-16, decoding the word units (mm, 1/10 mm, 1/100 mm and the foot variants) and taking words 81/82/83 as easting/northing/height; Sokkia SDR33 and SDR20 coordinate records, honouring the header's unit and north-east-order flags; LandXML CgPoints; KML placemarks; and GPX waypoints. A GSI observation file that carries only angles and distances has no coordinates to convert — the tool says so rather than writing empty rows. What is written. CSV and TXT in the column order and separator you choose, AutoCAD R12 DXF (points on layer BTPL_POINTS with labels on BTPL_LABELS), KML, LandXML 1.2, Leica GSI-16 and GPX.

What does the BTPL Point File Converter do?
The BTPL Point File Converter reads survey point files in CSV, TXT, Excel, Leica GSI, Sokkia SDR, LandXML, KML or GPX format, lets you re-order the columns, and writes the points back out as CSV, TXT, DXF (R12), KML, LandXML, GSI or GPX.
Can it convert between UTM and latitude/longitude while converting the file?
The BTPL Point File Converter can convert every point between UTM and latitude/longitude while it converts the file format. The coordinate conversion is optional and is applied to every point in the file during the format conversion.
Are my point files uploaded anywhere?
Nothing is uploaded: the BTPL Point File Converter computes its results in your own browser, and your coordinates and files are never sent to BTPL or to any other server. The optional Show on map view is the one part that needs an internet connection: it downloads the map library and the map imagery for the area on screen from third-party map servers (Esri or OpenStreetMap), which can therefore see which area is displayed. Everything else keeps working without a connection once the page has loaded.
Large or awkward instrument data?
BTPL processes raw total-station, GNSS and drone data into clean CAD and GIS deliverables — including the formats a browser tool cannot cover.
